How does on-demand streaming work?

If you click on one of the links to the left, you will be taken to a video-on-demand page at Vimeo.com one of the very best online video services. There you will find two choices:

1.  "Buy" the video for $19.95, which means that you can simply stream it to your device anytime, or download it to keep on your device or at home, and watch whenever you want.

or

2. "Rent" the video for $9.95, which means you can stream it for 48 hours (for example during a weekend ski trip).
